Dental Therapist

I joined The Priors in October 2009

I have a Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy from the University of Sheffield. I also have a BA (Hons) in Linguistics from the University of East Anglia. I Have previously worked in speech and language Therapy with Oncology (Oral Cancer Patients).

I aim to put patients at ease and help them to maintain and improve their oral health. My role involves treating tooth decay and gum disease, scaling and polishing, root surface debridement, administration of local anaesthesia and application of fluoride varnish to teeth. Continuation of professional development to ensure knowledge and skills are kept up to date and have undertaken training in assessment and treatment of periodontal disease as well as Law and Ethics in Dentistry.

In my spare time I enjoy playing the piano and Irish whistle, walking and running.
