The Priors team would like to invite all our patients to join a campaign that’s very close to our hearts. Three-year-old Henry is the son of the lovely Kerrie Gibbs (one of our dental nurses) and suffers from cerebral palsy.
There is no cure for cerebral palsy, but there is a life changing operation available called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR), where the nerve endings in the spinal cord are stimulated to separate the nerve roots. This is the only treatment that permanently removes spasticity in the legs and this spasticity causes a lot of pain and discomfort for Henry, meaning that even simple things aren’t possible.
Unfortunately, SDR treatment is not currently offered on the NHS, which is where our campaign begins. Please help our team here at The Priors, support Kerrie and her husband Jacob in raising funds for this life changing operation for Henry.
Visit www.stopbeingtight.co.uk for more information and ways in which you can donate – they’re already over halfway to raising the £50,000 needed.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
