The patient came in 2015 following her crown coming out. The tooth unfortunately had a very poor prognosis due to it being root fractured and an infection present.
Due to the extent of the infection when removing the tooth, the patient had a bone graft to keep good bone shape ready for an implant. She was given a temporary bridge during the healing process. 6 months later, once the bone graft had integrated well, the implant could be placed.
After a further healing period, the definitive crown was fitted to the implant. The patient has since attended for regular reviews with X-rays which have shown no changes in the bone and a successful placement 5 years on.
