Teeth Whitening

Here at The Priors Dental Practice, we offer several different teeth whitening systems to cater for all lifestyles, from in-surgery procedures which will lighten your teeth immediately to home teeth whitening trays to slowly lighten your smile.

We like teeth whitening as it is a minimally invasive, cost-effective procedure which can radically change your smile in just a few weeks. We want you to be proud of your smile and to enjoy showing it off!

What does teeth whitening do?

Teeth whitening does exactly what it says on the tin and whitens your teeth. Your teeth will gradually darken as you age, but they can also be stained by everyday habits, which builds up over time to make your teeth appear darker – these include tea, coffee, Coca Cola and tobacco. We won’t force you to give these up, but we can help you achieve a white, natural-looking smile! Teeth can also be discoloured due to trauma, or due to certain medications which make teeth whitening more complicated, but not necessarily impossible – your dentist will be able to advise you on which system would be best suited to your needs.

Teeth whitening systems

Here at The Priors, Stafford, we offer two main types of professional teeth whitening systems:

  • ZOOM! (in surgery and home whitening)
  • Opalescence (home whitening)

Recently, a new law was passed which stipulated that tooth whitening may only be carried out by dental professionals who are currently registered with the General Dental Council. Naturally, our staff are fully qualified to carry out such procedures and all procedures are compliant with EU regulations. We do however require all patients to have a consultation to see if teeth whitening treatment is suitable to them. The consultation cost is £75.00.
