We are proud to announce that our practice received top marks in its latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection, achieving a 5/5 rating across all key areas. The glowing report, published on 1 August 2025, follows an announced on-site inspection that took place on 23 July 2025.
The inspection confirmed that The Priors continues to meet all regulations, highlighting the practice’s strong commitment to patient care, safety, and continuous improvement.
A commitment to excellence
Inspectors praised the practice’s effective systems for managing risk and infection prevention and control, noting that staff had the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to deliver high-quality dental care. Recruitment procedures were found to be fully compliant with current legislation, and leadership at the practice was described as strong and focused on continuous improvement.
The report also acknowledged that the dental team provides care and treatment aligned with current clinical guidelines, and that patients are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
Patient-centred care
Feedback from patients played an important role in the inspection process, with comments gathered in the two weeks prior to the visit. The response was overwhelmingly positive. Patients described their experiences at The Priors as consistently excellent, with one commenting, “I’ve never had a bad experience at any of my appointments.”
